The local St. Louis Chapter of BDPA (Black Data Processing Associates) is inviting high school students to participate in our 2008 High School Computer Competition Team   Our local community outreach program introduces high school students to various aspects of IT. This includes conducting advance research on IT topics and then presenting them. Web application development (Basic HTML, SQL, ASP.NET and IIS), programming logic and advanced computer concepts will also be taught. Our goal is to have at least 50 students enrolled in our Saturday 2008 program. Program starts on Saturday, March 15th.   Interested students will need to have the following qualifications: ·         Must be in 8th - 12th grade ·         Interested in Information Technology ·         Must have Good        Attendance        Cooperation        Participation   Qualification for students selected for the HSCC (limited space): ·         Must be in 9th - 12th grade ·         Minimum 2.0 G.P.A. (will accept a letter of recommendation) ·         Display a strong interest in Information Technology ·         Display natural ability for using computer ·         Willing to participate in class ·         Cooperative spirit (teamwork is very important here) ·         Good attendance   ***Registration* **   Please use our on-line registration form: http://www.bdpa-StLouis.org Register for HSCC.
